Angeleita Floyd
Distinguished flutist, educator, conductor, and author, Dr. Floyd served as Professor of Flute at the University of Northern Iowa for thirty-three years. For over forty years, her career has reflected a deep commitment to nurturing the unique talents of each individual student, with many achieving regional and national recognition. Her expertise and influence extend internationally through guest appearances at flute festivals and residencies across the United States, South and Central America, and Europe. Notably, her support and vital participation at flute festivals in Quito, Ecuador (since 1990) and San José, Costa Rica (since 2005) have given her great pride. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field, Dr. Floyd received the National Flute Association’s 2013 Distinguished Service Award. She is the founder and director of Winzer Press LLC.

Sheryl Cohen
Sheryl Cohen’s career of over 55 years, began in 1967 as principal flutist with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and the Toledo Opera Association, and flute professor at The University of Toledo. In 1975, Cohen joined the faculty of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and as principal flutist with the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra. Much in demand as a pedagogue, Dr. Cohen has taught classes throughout the U. S., Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Cohen’s book Bel Canto Flute: The Rampal School, won the National Flute Association’s Newly Published Music Competition in 2004. The Flute Network hailed it as “one of the most rigorously organized, well-thought-out and creatively written pedagogical books of the last half-century.” Sheryl Cohen earned the BM and MM from the University of Michigan under Nelson Hauenstein, and the DM from Florida State University under Albert Tipton. She received the National Flute Association’s 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Trevor Wye
Trevor Wye studied the flute privately both with Geoffrey Gilbert and the celebrated Marcel Moyse. He was a freelance orchestral and chamber music player on the London scene for many years and has made several solo recordings, notably on his specialist instrument, the flute d'amour, which he reintroduced in modern times. His formative years were influenced by many players and singers, particularly Alfred Deller, Marcel Moyse and William Bennett. He was formerly a Professor at the Guildhall School of Music, London and for 21 years at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Trevor Wye is the author the famous Practice Books for the flute, which have received world wide acclaim and have been translated into eleven other languages. More recently, his highly praised biography of Marcel Moyse was published in English and in four other languages.

Tara Meade
Assistant Director of Business Operations
A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and the flute studio of Dr. Angeleita Floyd, Tara Meade has been with Winzer Press since 2014. She served as assistant editor and graphic designer for the second edition of The Gilbert Legacy. Tara is also the Communications Coordinator for the Minnesota Youth Symphonies and a flute instructor.
